A young tenor from Kosovo had his successful debut in London.

Rame Lahaj played Rodolfo in “La Boheme”, at the Royal Albert Hall, one of the best known theaters in Britain and the entire world, which was inaugurated in 1871. This is the first time that Lahaj performs in London.

In an interview for Top Channel, Lahaj declared that it’s a dream of every artist to perform in the  Royal Albert Hall.

“The biggest world stars have performed in this theater. For me it was special, because it was my debut, and the play was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in front of 5000 spectators”.

The tenor born in Istog, Kosovo, started his career at the age of 21, after graduating at the Tirana Academy of Arts six years ago. He works as artistic director of TV 21 in Kosovo, while his opera career started in 2011, at the State Opera of Hungary. His career had a grown quickly and he has performed in famous European scenes, where he has been honored with several awards. His success in the London debut has given Rame Lahaj the opportunity to perform at the Royal Opera in the next year. Besides the famous Albanian soprano, Ermonela Jaho, the Kosovo tenor, Rame Lahaj, is the newest Albanian name that enters the theaters of the British capital.
