Kosovo, tear gas and clashes in Parliament

17/11/2015 00:00

The Parliament of Kosovo has turned once again into an arena of violent
clashes, after the opposition MPs interrupted the session with tear gas.

Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli had warned they would be suspended from the session in case of other trouble, and that is what happened.

MPs of the government coalition continued working in the alternative Parliament Floor where the opposition MPs were not allowed.

The opposition supporters and MPs, in the meanwhile, were having clashes with the police around the Parliament premises.

PM Isa Mustafa and Deputy PM Hashim Thaci condemned the opposition’s acts. Parliament Speaker Veseli warned that the Parliament will continue with the other sessions, and invited the opposition to reflect and return in Parliament to contribute.
