The Kosovo election authorities declared that 1,8 million voters can go
tomorrow at the polls. The President invited all citizens to vote, and
appealed all institutions to guarantee a fair process. She met this
Saturday with the leaders of all security institutions to guarantee that
the elections this Sunday will be managed well.
After meeting with the president, the institution leaders declared for Top Channel that they are ready to guarantee that the process will be regular. Valdete Daka, Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission, declared that they guaranteed the President that all institutions are ready to provide free and fair elections.
Shpend Maxhini, Director of the Police, declared that all institutions are coordinated with them to guarantee a flawless elections process.
Enver Peci, Chairman of the Judiciary Council, declared that they have appointed supervisors in all seven courts.
Shukri Sulejmani, Chairman of the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Pre-Modifications, declared that they are mobilized so that the number of appeals remains small.
The Prosecution confirmed for Top Channel that more than 100 prosecutors will be ready this Sunday to start a case against anyone who will be found damaging the electoral process.
The elections in Kosovo have 37,000 observers, 350 of whom from the European Union and foreign embassies accredited in Prishtina.
