Kosovo President: “Visa liberalization, delayed by Demarkation”

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, reiterated that before Kosovo
citizens are allowed to travel visa-free in EU countries, first they
must reach an agreement for demarkation with the Montenegrin border.

Thaci underlined on social networks that such request had been reiterated by EU commissioners in last meetings.

“Commissioners Hahn and Avramopoulos reiterated today that Brussels is waiting the ratification of the Demarkation agreement in order to remove the visa regime for Kosovo citizens. Now it is up to the Parliament Members to decide when our citizens will be able to move visa free in the Schengen area”, Thaci said on Facebook.
