The founder of Top Channel and Digitalb, Dritan Hoxha, was decorated by the President of Kosovo, during his visit to Albania.
Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, said he was privileged to have known Dritan Hoxha as a friend, as a person and as an innovator who was the first to break borders between Kosovo and Albania, thanks to geniality.
“Dear Vjollca, it is a special honor for me as President of Kosovo and friend of Tani to share this medal of the Kosovo President, on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo and all of its citizens, for the extraordinary contribution in revolutionizing media in Albania”, said President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.
After naming a Prishtina street after him, Dritan Hoxha’s contribution in breaking the borders between Albanians was praised by the President of Kosovo with the Award for Innovation, Searching and Development. This decoration is given to people with extraordinary results in knowledge, development and technology.
On behalf of the Kosovo citizens, President Thaci handed the decoration over to the President of Top Media, the wife of the late Dritan Hoxha, Vjollca Hoxha, during a visit at Top Media.
“He achieved things that armies and politics could not. He broke borders and his voice went everywhere. His idea went to any city, village and family. This is why Kosovo values his work and maximal dedication. We feel proud to have met him, and I am privileged that as President of Kosovo, now I have the pleasure to share this gratitude as President of Kosovo”, he said.

The decoration awarded by the Republic of Kosovo values the love of Dritan Hoxha for Kosovo, a passion reflected on Top Channel when Kosovo needed Albania’s support more than ever, during the difficult days when kosovo was becoming independent and even later, with state building processes.
