A Serbian train was departed today from Belgrade towards Kosovo, planing to enter Mitrovica,
with the words “Kosovo is Serbia” written on it, which Serbia does not
consider a provocation.

Media in Kosovo report that KFOR troops will not allow the train to enter the Kosovo territory. Some of them quote President Hashim Thaci ordering the train to not be allowed in Jarinja.

Serbian media say the train was stopped in Rashka, surrounded by several police forces and their heavy vehicles.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, declared in a press release
that their government has mobilized all institutions to face the
situation, all international factors have been informed, and that
stopping this train was the right thing to do, rather than letting it
enter the territory of the sovereign republic of Kosovo.

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic, declared in an extraordinary press release that Albanians are playing war games, and that the train was not a tank or any military vehicle to be stopped, but just a way to connect people.

After the train departure, the Vice Chief of Police for Northern Mitrovica, Besim Hoti, said that several portals had been reporting that an explosive could have been set on the tracks.

The Kosovo police were immediately on site, inspected all the tracks and found nothing, proving the news reports wrong.

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic, said that Kosovo Albanians had planned to blow the train up, but their plan had failed.
