Kosovo, Parliamentary session on December 8th

The President of Kosovo, Atifete jahjaga, received this Tuesday the
leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, (PDK), Hashim Thaci, and the
leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, to
announce them about the preparation of the new Kosovo institutions,
respectively the Parliament of Kosovo and the creation of the new
government.

President Jahjaga was updated with the progress of talks between the two political parties, in harmonizing the government program and consolidating the state priorities. The President encouraged the laders of both political parties which agreed to form a ruling coalition, to create the relevant institutions within this month and compensate the time that was lost, fulfilling this way the institutional obligations to the citizens of Kosovo.

The PDK and LDK leaders told the President that their parties are ready to start the Kosovo Parliament session to chose the institutions and vote the government and its program.

The negotiations for sharing the posts are still undergoing between both parties. The process is expected to be over by Wednesday. All parties have agreed that the Prime Minister’s post will go to Isa Mustafa.
