The transformation of the “Serbian List” from a civil initiative into a
proper party, has caused a division among the political subject that
represents the Serbian community in Kosovo’s institutions.

Two representatives, Slavko Simic and Alexandar Jablanovic, presented two separate documentations for registering the Serbian List at the Central Election Commission as a political party.

Last week there were several harsh debates within this party, even in media presence. But Slavko Simic, MP of the Kosovo Parliament, who leads the Serbian List, said for Radio Free Europe that he filed the necessary documentation at the Central Election Commission to transform the civil initiative into a political party with the authentic name, as he calls it, the “Serbian List”.

He said he was informed that Alexandar Jablanovic also filed documentation for transforming the movement into a political party, but reporters were not able to contact him.

When the Serbial List was first registered at the Central Election Commission in 2014, as a civil movement initiative, it was signed by Jablanovic.

Slobodan Petrovic, Kosovo MP, said for Radio Free Europ that Jablanovic was the first one to found this subject, and he that has the right to continue the party.
