Kosovo Parliament, defendin KLA after convinction of former commanders

The Parliament of Kosovo is discussing in an extraordinary session summoned by the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

The debate was encouraged by the final verdict of the “Drenica I and II” process, which has former Kosovo Liberation Army, Chief of Staff, and also former Kosovo Ambassador, Sylejman Selimi, accused of war crimes.

MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Self Determination Movement claim the convictions are unfair, but they are divided on who is to blame,

Limaj, the leader of Nisma, (Initiative), who has also been part of these trials, says that the holding of this session is wrong.

The strongest declaration came from the Speaker of the Kosovo Parliament, also leader of the Party that derived from the Kosovo Liberation Army, the Democratic Party of Kosovo:

“For us Albanians in Kosovo, accepting imbalanced justice standards, doesn’t mean allowing moral damages against our people and our cause for freedom. We need to keep in consideration the message we are giving to our citizens and the trust in justice”, said Kadri Veseli, Parliament Speaker.
