The MPs of the Kosovo Parliament have ignored the request of the Constitutional court for answering about their immunity.

According to Kosovo media, the MPs have assessed that the request should be sent to one of the special commissions, such as the one for the legislation or immunity, and not directly to them.

Arsim Bajrami, head of the sub-commission for the mandates and immunities declared that the Court should ask explanations from this segment.

“The court should ask for an explanation from the commission for the legislation, or the sub-commission for the mandates, taking in consideration the opinion of the Parliament, and not individual opinions”, Bajrami declared.

The only deputy who has answered to the Constitutional Court is that of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Nait Hasani.

The immunity issue in Kosovo was raised after the war crime investigations of the EULEX mission, object of which was the Democratic Party MP, Fatmir Limaj.
