Kosovo-Macedonia highway

The Kosovo government has given green light to the Ministry of
Infrastructure or signing an agreement with “Betchel&Enka”, which
will build the second highway in Kosovo, from Prishtina to Hani i
Elezit.

The government has approved the recommendations of the inter-ministeral committee, since all negotiations and preparations for the construction of the highway have already started.

“After fulfilling the legal deadlines of competition, the inter-ministerial committee has reviewed and approved the list of companies that participate in the tender, and has tasked the inter-ministerial commission for evaluating the offers. This Commission has evaluated the documentation of competing companies and has realized the financial and technical evaluation of bids. Based on this, the most successful company in the competition was found Betchel & Enka”, declared Fehmi Mujota, Minister of Infrastructure.

Mujota declared that the procedures for this project have started since 2012, and all legal ways and consultations have been followed for having a transparent process. This highway will make transportation between Kosovo and Macedonia much faster.
