Kosovo Foreign Minister met Greek counterpart, asks recognition of independence

The Kosovo Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, was received in Athens by his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias.

Although the flag of Kosovo was not present during the meeting, since Athens has not recognized Kosovo yet, Minister Hoxhaj was optimist about the progress of mutual relations so far.

When asked by Top Channel regarding the result of his visit in Athens, Hoxha said that the relations between Athens and Prishtina are very good.

“Athens has supported our country in all phases, especially the membership in international organisms’, Hoxhaj said, adding that Prishtina expexts Greece to recognize Kosovo, but this is up to Athens.

“Kosovo, now a reality in the region, will continue its European path”, Hoxhaj said.
