The Prime Minister Sali Berisha expressed his great concern for what he
called a dangerous provocation of Serbian mobs in the border with Kosovo.
“We support the operations of the Kosovan government and condemn the criminal acts of the Serbian bands in Kosovo’s northern border. We condemn the murder of a police agent, the armed attack against KFOR units and we consider these acts as evidence that the ghost of Greater Serbia is still endangering peace and stability in the region”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister supported Kosovo’s embargo against Serbian products, not because he is against the free movement of goods and people, but because this action was imposed by the Serbian government.
Berisha appealed the governments of both countries to take the necessary measures for ensuring the right conditions for a dialogue between two equal countries.
President Topi concerned about the situation in Kosovo
Albanian President Bamir Topi reacted after the latest events in Kosovo, condemning the unilateral violence acts and considering them as completely unnecessary.
Topi declared that Kosovo is an internationally recognized reality, and its sovereignty is untouchable and irreversible.
Topi supported and encouraged the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, saying that that is the best way for solving the problems with reciprocity and for contributing in the regional peace and stability, in full accordance with the aspirations of the entire region for full Euro-Atlantic integration.
SP: Supporting the control of Northern Kosovo
The Socialist Party supported the action of all Kosovo political parties for taking the northern territory under control.
According to the Socialist Party, the territorial sovereignty and integrity of the Kosovo Republic is untouchable, in full accordance with the international rights. Therefore, Kosovo has the constitutional rights to exert its power all over the territory.
For the Socialist Party, violence is not the way of solving the problems and disagreements in 21st century Europe.
