Kosovo demands real estates return

The commission that will demand the return of the privatization fund for Kosovo public enterprises was formed.

This decision was taken by the the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, a copy of which has been secured by Top Channel. This document writes that one of this commission’s duties is to identify and return the real estate properties that belong to Kosovo.

The privatization fund benefited by the sale of Kosovo Public Enterprises remains abroad and the new state has not been able to access it, the value of which is thought to be 500 million Euros only from privatization money.

One of the members of this commission is Ramush Tahiri, who has been assigned as director for the regional matters. He says that Kosovo, after the independence, has the right to demand the return of the fund.

“The return of the privatization fund, according to economy experts, has been estimated that will be an essential help to the Kosovo economy”, he declared.

Very soon, this commission will make an official request, addressed to Former Yugoslav Republic countries, demanding the return of the Kosovo enterprises that are situated in their territories.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified 172 real estates of Kosovo Social Enterprises, which are situated in the states that were created after the disintegration of the Yugoslav Federation.

According to further information, most of the Kosovo Social Enterprises real estates are situated in Serbia, 104 in total, 42 in Montenegro, 15 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6 in Croatia, 4 in Macedonia and 1 in Slovenia.
