The meeting of the General Council of the Democratic League of Kosovo
continued for four hours today. Leader Mustafa was authorized in this
meeting to start the talks with other political parties in Kosovo, in
order to start a new government.
This decision end shte agreement that the LDK had signed after the elections of June 8th with the AAK, the Initiative and the Self-Determination Movement. Now, a wide coalition between the PDK of Hashim Thaci and Isa Mustafa’s LDK is not excluded anymore.
Thaci appealed the right wing parties (LDK and AAK among them) to sit and talk for a new government.
Fatmir Sejdiu, the leader of honor, has reportedly left the room, saying that he didn’t want to be part of a formal voting that would authorize the leader of the party to fulfill his own wishes.
The former President of Kosovo didn’t give any specific stance about the position that LDK should hold, but criticized the parties of the block for their stances after the verdict of the Constitutional Court.
