Ceremonies for celebrating the Flag’s Day in Kosovo started with President Thaci at the grave of Ibrahim Rugova in Prishtina.
PM Mustafa congratulated his fellow citizens on social network, and said everyone feels one and stronger, but also more responsible for building and developing our countries wherever we may be.
President Thaci visited the Adem Jashari memorial complex in Prekaz. Besides the Flag Day, on November 28th is also celebrated the birthday of commander Jashari and the public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
“I want to express my maximal respect for those who sacrificed for the freedom of Kosovo, for making Albania independent, and for this huge progress. We are happy that Kosovo today is free, independent, sovereign and on the right path for Euro-Atlantic integrity”, said Hashim Thaci, President of Kosovo.
Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli held another ceremony at the Boletin village, in northern Mitrovica:
“For the past century we have celebrated this big day with our eyes and heart directed to Vlore. Today, to this celebration is added what had been missed for the past 100 years, Isa Boletini, at the birthplace of this national hero”, Veseli declared.
