Military and security affairs experts suggested the 10 years period thought adequate for the Kosovo Security Force to transform into an Army should change as it could reach full capacity earlier.
Burim Ramadani, Kadri Kastrati and Ramadan Qehaja told “Epoka e re” newspaper that the process has faced many delays and for them, the Security Force could reach full capacity within 6-7 years with additions to the budget.
“State authorities should review this timeline. The different fazes the security force has to pass before transforming in an official army should be smaller so it can be fully operational after maximum 6 years”.
