Kosovo and Albanian Prime Ministers meet in Tirana

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, attended an official visit in
Tirana, where he met with his Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama.

Rama said that they discussed further cooperation and a coordination of forces for the EU integration.

“We have excellent and fraternal relations. The strategic partnership that was institutionalized at the Prizren meeting is a basic instrument that defines the weight of the Albanian factor in the region”, Rama declared.

Prime Minister Mustafa appreciated everything that has been done so far by both countries.

“The strategic cooperation is of special importance for us, together with the works that we have done so far. We aim to cross the borders between Albania and Kosovo. We are cooperating with the economy and other fields. We have reached results in culture and education. We are making efforts for similar results in the trade relations too”, Mustafa declared.

Both Prime Minister also discussed the preparations for the second meeting between both governments that will be held in Tirana on March 23rd.

“We will take several steps in the joint meeting to attract a series of procedures and regulations that are bringing difficulties to the economic cooperation between businesses and both governments”, Rama declared.

Prime Minister Mustafa met with President Bujar Nishani and Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta.

Meta said that the mutual challenge of Albania and Kosovo is the social and economic strengthening. Meta underlined his support for the progress in the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo.
