The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared in an interview for the Kosovo press that Albania’s ports also belong to Kosovo.
Speaking for Zeri, Rama talked about what he considers an unblocking of major projects between the two countries, and underlined the customs unification as a perspective.
The blocking of the “energy highway” between the two countries by the former government is considered by Rama as a very huge damage for the future of this sector in both countries.
“But this has now been fixed. The project is flowing and every problem was overcome, although the cost was very high”, Rama declared.
As regards the Shengjin Port, or what the former government called the Port of Kosovo, Rama declared that all Albanian ports also belong to Kosovo, and they are reviewing investments possibilities from both countries. Rama declared that they are working for making it easier for investors from Kosovo to enter the Albanian market, who, according to Rama, have been blocked so far by the former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha.
