Korce, Spring celebrations and injuries

The city of Korce started the celebrations of the Summer’s Day by lighting fires around the roads.

This pagan tradition requires the participants to jump over the fires, for leaving the evil behind.

The Summer’s Day is also celebrated with several cookies and eggs painted in erd.

After the celebrations, two young men were injured after a fight caused under the influence of alcohol.

One of them was sent in the Tirana Military Hospital, due to the severe wounds.
