Korçë Municipality budget approved for 2nd time

The Municipal Council approved for the second time the budget of Korçë Municipality.
The prefect returned the budget for a reviewal, due to the contradictions that both institutions had regarding the quota that the Municipality should deposit for the District Council.
The pretense consists on the payment that the Municipality must pay to the Prefecture, which the Prefecture want it increased from 60 to 180 million ALL. The head of Korçe Municipality, Niko Peleshi considered this an unreasonable blocking of the work. According to him, the Korçe Municipality has no reason to pay for other communes with its funds, when this money could be used for investments in the city.
The left centered councilors voted the project with their majority and approved for the second time the law that provides the Municipality to deposit 2.5% of its revenues to the District Council.
The prefecture will accept the deposition of this sum or will start a trial for increasing the quota.
