Korçe Martyrs’ Cemetery violated

Martyrs’ Cemetery at Korçe was violated and left in such conditions that
the human remains have emerged onto the surface. Dozens of graves were
violated not by weather conditions, but by a human hand that has broken
the stone slabs and has made the remains come to surface.

No measures were taken for this violation, and the entire area that is visited by local authorities once a year is covered by wild plants.

In this cemetery lay remains of the martyrs that were killed during the Second World War.

The concern for this violation has been presented to Korçe Municipality, but the situation continues to be the same. A similar case happened in Boboshtice village, where the prosecution opened investigations and the court sentenced some persons in prison.
