Korcë limbless and headless body, 84-year-old confesses

Police declared that the victim is called Liljana Arapi, while the author is Gaqo Dumka, who was arrested and now is under Korçë police custody.

The 84-year-old confessed that he had killed the woman inside his house, then he cut her body to pieces and threw it to the garbage. The first suspicions are that the crime has been committed for jealousy.

The head of the woman has not been found yet, which was cut off the body of the victim, together with her arms and legs.

Horror in Korçë

A woman was slaughtered mercilessly and was thrown in the urban waste field, in Korçë suburbs. The body parts of the victim were found among the garbage by occasional can collectors, two kilometers from the city of Korçë, leaving its residents horrified by the atrocity of the crime.

Police found two plastic bags filled with limbs and the torso, seperate from each other. Forensics found that the body parts belonged to a 40-year-old woman. The victim whose head and limbs were cut off the body was identified after the police worked for many hours and raised public awareness.

Forensic doctors from Tirana and Korça were unable to identify the dead woman. All they were able to discover was that the woman had never given birth to a child, and before being cut, she had been stabbed several times with a knife, what had caused her death. After that, the limbs and the head were cut off with an axe.

Police declared that the cruelty of the murderer had went as far as cutting her genital organ, what raised suspicions that the motive had been jealousy.
