“Korce”, College rejects DP claim

The Electoral College’s decision came after the Court of Appeal accepted as evidence the footage ran by Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare”, in which, according to them, the vote purchase is clearly visible.

The Socialists opposed it, arguing that the footage should be followed by a legal expertise. However, the verdict of the Electoral College rejected the Democrat’s claiming for vote purchase.

For the opposition legal representative, Ivi Kaso, the College tolerated a phenomenon such as the vote purchase.

“Unfortunately, the College chose to close its eyes in front of this phenomenon, and this is as intolerable as the phenomenon. After the images that all Albanians were able to see, the College should have taken a more extreme measure to stop this phenomenon”, Kaso declared.

The Socialist representative Eridian Salianji asked the College to fine the Democratic Party for abusing with the right to sue by putting the court in motion without having any evidence.

He said that the Democratic Party’s argument on the room was humorous. “The College’s verdict was more than right. The claims used by the Democratic Party were for another episode of Fiks Fare”, Salianji declared.

The Korce elections turned into the opposition’s cause, claiming that it was the massive scheme used on the June 23rd elections.
