The status of “The National Warrior” in Korce has been removed for the
fourth time. The new city master plan has changed the location of this
distinguished object of the city.
The statue of the great Albanian master Odise Paskali was placed in the center of Korçe in 1932, and since then has been removed four times.
The first removal was in 1985, when it was replaced by the bust of Enver Hoxha.
“The National Warrior”, also known by the locals as “The Unknown Soldier” has served not only as great value of the city, but also as a point of reference.
No one knows for how long the monument will stay in the depots where the workers placed him until a new place will be found.
