The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Chinese Ambassador to
Tirana, have symbolically inaugurated the “Konfuci” institution at the
Tirana University.
The government leader expressed his support for this initiative and for reinforcing the cooperation between the two countries in other areas.
“Countries are not developed when they have wealth, but when they have knowledge. It’s knowledge that brings development, not development bringing knowledge. This feeling brings me with a great pleasure to be present in reinforcing the relations between our countries in such a special dimension. This dimension includes education, culture and language, and within it there is the novelty of the physical presence of the “Konfuci” institution, present in 96 countries”, Rama declared.
While mentioning the grammatical errors that are often found in official documents, Rama humorously said that we need to go to Beijing to write properly.
“Who wants to study Albanian deeply and correctly, needs to go to Beijing”, Rama declared.
The rector of the Tirana University, Dhori Kule, explained the importance of this institution for the Albanian youth and the possibilities it offers.
“Our university is part of a network with 400 members in 108 countries of the world, including 70 of the most noted university, among the 200 best ranked universities in the world”, Kule declared.
Several students will be able to learn Chinese in Albania, while students in China have had the opportunity to learn Albanian for a long time.
