The new Chief of the General Staff of the Albanian Army, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollcaku, received his duty this Thursday.
Kollcaku said that raising awareness among institutions for supporting the Armed Forces even more, would be one of his priorities.
“We will also reinforce inter-institutional cooperation, so that the Armed Froces can help the population in times of need”, Kollcaku said.
Defense Minister Mimi Kodheli, in her last speech on that role, made a summary of the four-year efforts for transforming the Armed Forces.
“We have also had intentional obstacles, such as leaving the country for 10 months without a Chief of General Staff. But now we have turned to normality, far from personal preferences. I want to thank the Albanian Prime Minister and President Ilir Meta for cooperating”, Kodheli said.
