The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, declared that they are not
damaging any institution and that they are planning a national security
strategy.
But the former Minister of Defense, Arben Imami, declared that the government is being used not only to clean roads, but also to transport drugs.
Mimi Kodheli: What violation of presidential competences are you talking about? Haven’t you learned during these eight years in power and five years in the NATO, that reviewing the defense straty, the document planned from you, is a close cooperation of NATO with the office of the Defense Secretary at the United States State Department. How can it be that our strategic partners, with whom we are writing the strategy of national and military strategy, are supporting us to kill the Constitution of Albania and the Republic itself? Although you have considered written on the strategy review document that the Military Home is one of the three basic assets of the Defense, and you had even spent 250.000 EUR for the project only, money that the previous Minister declared that the Democratic Party would return to the government.
Arben Imami: The strategic review of defense is made with a decision of the Council of Ministers, and based on that political decision it decided about the property transfer. I have a feeling that besides cleaning rubbish from roads, and besides avoiding the constitutional duty of the Albania army, the Minister is doing other things. Dear Parliament Members, if there is one thing that could remove let Albania farther from NATO, it is what is happening today. The military infrastructure of a NATO army is being used for the transportation of narcotics. I want the Minister to answer for this.
