One day after the declaration of the former Minister of Defense in
Parliament that the opposition has evidence that the Albanian Army
infrastructure is being used for transporting narcotics, the Ministry of
Defense addressed a letter to the General Prosecutor and asked him to
start investigating on these serious accusations.
Arben Imami declared yesterday that the military infrastructure of a NATO army is being regularly used to transport narcotics, and the Minister of Defense should answer for this.
One day after this, the Minister of Defense reacted through their spokesperson.
“The Ministry of Defense announces that the Minister has asked the Prosecutor General to start investigating regarding the accusations that we heard by the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Mr.Arben Imami. As Minister of Defense, based on the Constitution and laws of our country, Minister Kodheli requests a full investigation of these serious accusations made against the Armed Forces. The Ministry of Defense guarantees that we are ready to cooperate with the Prosecution for a full investigation of these accusations”, the Spokesperson declared.
