The Tirana Prosecutor’s Office concretized the criminal charge of “Intentional Murder” for police officer Nevaldo Hajdaraj, judicial sources told Top Channel’s Anila Hoxha.
“We have provided the main evidence, the film footage which clarifies the moment of the shooting by the police officer. The footage gives a clear picture of the murder. The video shows that the policeman fired from a lying position, towards Klodian Rasha. The angle of Klodian Rasha’s blow was in the length of the victim’s body. ”
It is learned that the filming revealed that Klodian Rasha was shot by the police as he was running away in the alley towards his apartment.
The policeman took up position to shoot and opened fire twice with the service weapon.
The charge that will be re-qualified will be raised because the police officer, after shooting him once, continued shooting again. It is learned that the victim was caught by a bullet that caused his death, while the other bullet hit the outside of a service station in the alley where Klodian Rasha was running.
Klodian Rasha was killed by police officer Nevaldo Hajdaraj in the early hours of the morning of December 8. The victim was spotted by the police patrol, while after a chase by Nevaldo Hajdaraj, the latter opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot.
The event has brought strong reactions to the country. Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj resigned while for several days thousands of young people rose in violent protests to demand justice.
