Klodian Rasha protests, Police: Case in the hands of justice, no more gathering will be tolerated
After numerous protests in many cities of the country after the murder of Klodian Rasha by a police officer, the State Police has emphasized that it will not tolerate any gathering that oppose anti-covid measures. Police write that justice is being done about the perpetrator of the murder, but the protests have degraded into organizations aimed at violating public order and public property. They have called for the implementation of the measures put in place during this pandemic, where measures of physical distancing and wearing a mask are essential.
The 5 days of protest for 25-year-old Klodian Rasha were accompanied by damage of public property and clashes with police.
“The State Police is very aware of the right to protest and the inviolable freedom of assembly. In the conditions of great awareness of the society after the tragedy of the 25-year-old boy who tragivally lost his life at the hands of a police officer, the State Police has tolerated the popular sensitivity for, but now when justice is performing its duty with the perpetrator and when protests have degraded into organizations aimed at disrupting public order and public property, the State Police will not tolerate any gathering that conflicts with the current framework of austerity measures.
