No defensive lawyer has accepted to serve to Odise Verbofshi, the man
who admitted to kill and burn the bodies of two men from Fushe Kruja,
after a drug deal went wrong.
Relatives abandoned him while he appeared at the Durres Court for the hearing session. Appearing calm, he said that he is aware about the crime and that he is repented.
To guarantee the right to defense, the court appointed a lawyer who considered his arrest as legal. He was caught in Poloske, Devoll, trying to leave the Albanian borders.
Prosecutor Drini Pali reconstructed the dynamics of the murder of Shaban Babasi, 27, and Albert Kasalla, 32.
The victims had arrived this Thursday afternoon near a service station where Verbofshi was working with his brother. They were accompanied by a third person, who was staying close to the service station, until Babasi and Kasalla would finish with Verbofshi. When arrived home, the suspect understood that the victims had no money for the drug.
After a debate about the money, he executed both of them with a bullet in the head. Then, with the help of his brother in law, Verbofshi tried to make the two bodies disappear. The police arrested the killer in a residence in Devoll, where he was hiding.
