Justice reform, Rama’s alibi for EU talks

The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the justice reform is not
the only barrier of Albania from the EU, as declared by PM Edi Rama.
Basha listed decriminalization, corruption, crime and its infiltration
in the administration, as some of the other concerns..
Basha reiterated the stance of one day ago, after receiving the progress report from the EU ambassador, Romana Vlahutin. He said the report is clear on saying that corruption is spread everywhere, and that the infiltration of crime in the public sector remains a major problem. There are no negotiations without implementing the decriminalization law. There is no progress in the country’s integration if we have this corruption and crime”, Basha said.
Basha accused the majority of corruption in all sectors, and declared that the DP supports the students’ protest against the higher education law.
