The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta,
underlined that the most major matter for this political force is to
successfully finalize the justice reform, for which political dialogue
and consensus is necessary.
For this reason, he asked the opposition to
be involved in the political dialogue with professionalism and not with
populism.
“The SMI has always been clear for supporting big reforms. The Venice Commission suggested planning the constitutional amends through dialogue. The political consensus is necessary in Parliament not only as a matter of numbers, but also as a matter of political will. An all-inclusive reform, with more trust and longevity. Justice needs the public’s trust. We have started the reform in Parliament with the idea to involve the opposition. Now that experts gave their opinion, it Is time to start Parliamentary political dialogue and progress with the process. It is a duty of the SMI and the majority too create the necessary spaces for the opposition to be part of the dialogue, and it is an obligation of the opposition to contribute with professionalism and not populism in the dialogue”, the Parliament Speaker declared.
