The Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, expressed his reserves about
the Justice reform, especially as regards consultations with interested
parties.

“Rushed decisions are being taken and there is not enough consultation”, Llalla declared.

In a meeting with the Justice Minister, Ylli Manjani, Llalla said there are problematic elements within his institution, but the Prosecution has the capacity to fight them.

Minister Manjani said it is necessary to accelerate the expertise act, and asked for a stronger role of the Prosecutor.

The consultative meeting was held for the justice reform in the fight against corruption. Prosecutors, same as judges, have often been attacked of corruption.
