The Justice Reform should be done by professionals who are also clean
with the law, but for Kristaq Traja, former Judge of the European Court
in Strasbourg, involved in the discussions for the Constitutional Court,
there has been a criminal case at the Prosecution of Tirana.
The Okaj family sued Trajas after claiming they possessed a payment receipt of 8000 EUR, given to Trajas in exchange of a 821.000 EUR payment they were entitled to receive from the Ministry of Finances, after a Court of Strasbourg decision over a property dispute with the government.
The Okaj family say Mr.Traja had been promised to receive 5% of the money coming from the Ministry, a total of 41.000 EUR, but since they didn’t get anything, they stopped cooperating with him but they did not take back the 8000 EUR that Traja was paid for a service he didn’t complete.
The Civilian Court has issued an executive order that orders the professor to return the 8000 EUR.
