The Justice Reform Commission discussed for six hours, behind closed doors, but could not reach any conclusion.
This is one of the most complicated chapters of the reform, since almost every article requires political decisions.
The discussion did not focus only on how to appoint the members of the Supreme Court, or those of the High Council of Justice who come from outside courts.
Since the beginning, the Democratic Party has opposed the qualified majority of 3/5th, and the important role of the Council of Appointments in the election process of candidates.
Everyone agreed to discuss this matter last, but Socialists reiterated their stance. They say they will negotiate nothing that affects the system’s architecture.
Mr.Pandeli Majko said this in front of the media, as an answer of the majority to the opposition, who demand a more simplified system, since they are against the establishing of the Supreme Administrative Court and the Council of Justice Appointments.
