The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group met today with the presence of
US and EU ambassadors, Donald Lu and Romana Vlahutin. After the meeting,
the DP leader said that the justice reform could take more time since
the product is more important than the time when it is done.
“The Democratic Party is a clear and most determined supporter of the justice reform. The only condition is that justice should not be captured by politics. We have full understanding to go beyond the resistance of the government power that defends corruption”, Basha said for the media.
The Democratic Party leader added that the justice reform is not just a signed paper. The most important thing is implementing it with the oligarchy that today has created a very bad name for itself.
“This is why the justice reform has lasted and will last, because the product is more important than the time. It is not the DP which decides for the time. We must see what the nervous ones will do. A scarce product is of no use. Those who will judge trials will see the product, and not the time when it was done”, Basha said.
The opposition leader added that the ambassadors found and left the DP without any sign of nervousness. “Edi Rama is nervous, because he pressured the Constitutional Court”, Lulzim Basha said.
