Justice Ministry blames authorities for death of Judge who was murdered by her husband

The Ministry of Justice reacted today after 39-year-old judge Fildez
Kasemi was shot dead by her former husband in Tirana today.

The Judge had filed a protection request against her former husband, and the Ministry says people who failed to protect her by implementing the court order will have to be held accountable.

“Authorities had the obligation to defend Mrs.Kasemi. Now they must bring the person responsible for her protection and be held accountable for omitting their actions”, says the press release.

The Minister of Justice himself, Gazmend Bardhi, expressed condolences to the family of the judge and hopes the author receives maximal punishment.
