Justice Minister Petrit Vasili held a meeting with the Chief of the OSCE representation in Albania, Ambassador Bernd Borchardt.
The Justice Ministry stated in a press release that Borchardt considered OSCE as one of the closest and best partners of Albania, who helped realized a series of important collaboration initiatives.
Ambassador Borchardt updated Minister Vasili with some current projects, through which OSCE is assisting the Judiciary System , such as probation and penitentiary services.
Minister Vasili encouraged Ambassador Borchardt to keep working so that the projects are completed successfully, and guaranteed maximal support from the institution he leads.
Vasili considered this meeting as an important first step of the relations with, adding that its constant support is very significant for implementing the judiciary strategy.
Ambassador Borchardt was positive about the support that the OSCE can offer for the implementation of the new legal system, especially as regards the decriminalization process.
