The Justice Minister, Ylli Manjani, made public today the conclusions of
the investigations held for a verdict given by the Durres Court, which
recognized 42.000 square meters to the Selcuni family.
The Minister said that after a complete inspection, his experts arrived on the conclusion that the verdict is completely wrong, and that the Court was not legally convinced that the property belonged to the Selcuni family.
Manjani says that the Judge, Albana Qeleshi, and the State Advocacy, who did not appeal her verdict, are all responsible for this situation. Manjani said he would make a demand for discharging Judge Qeleshi.
The “Omnix” Company, according to the Ministry of Justice, has bought in 2008 the entire terrain for which the government had given a permit in 2016. But, in the declaration given for Top Channel, Pal Selcuni said that he had inherited that property from his family. The Selcuni familym according to Minister Manjani, has demanded ownership of the land based on a law which gives a property title to a person who works a terrain that doesn’t belong to him for more than 20 years.
