After a several month long investigation, Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare” started a cycle of shows that report judiciary corruption.
A family of six members were arrested during a protest for basic survival rights, and they discovered the corruption chain in this system.
Fiks Fare’s investigation discovered a network of middlemen who asked money on behalf of judges and prosecutors. Everything was brought on Top Channel with real facts and evidence, with audio and video.
“I live in fushe Arrez. Six members of my family were arrested in April, for a protest against the Beralt Company, which has destroyed us economically. They have blocked our land, water, ahv polluted our environment and many other things that they have never compensated”, declared the resident who didn’t want to show his identity.
“The protest was held on 15 April 2013. I was arrested and released after two months and a half, when they gave me house arrest. You couldn’t get released without paying. It cost me 400.000 ALL”, reports the victim of this giant corruption scheme.
“I have gone 20 times at court and they didn’t accept my request, because they wanted money. I wasn’t used to this, and judges used middlemen. The money was demanded for the judge and prosecutor, not less than 550.000 ALL. I was obliged to take a loan, or there is no other way to take them out of prison”, the citizen continues.
Alarmed from this report, “Fiks Fare” cameras arrived on the scene, at the Puke Court, where we met with the middleman very quickly.
“The prosecutor will not let your son out without 600.000 ALL. The Prosecutor and judges need to take the money first, then they can do it”, declared the middleman.
Hidden cameras then caught the judiciary police officer, Hasan Alla, who intermediated the payment. Then the cameras filmed a meeting with lawyer Fariz Xhuxhi, who asked them to pay and their relative would be free within 10 days, and promises that the trial will never be repeated.
This is the first Fiks Fare’s edition of a series of other episodes that will unmask the juduciary corruption, which involves even the Court’s secretary, who guarantees that she will pay the money to the judge and prosecution, while the chancellor gives the final instructions.
In the upcoming days, Fiks Fare will show that these methods are used even in higher grades of the judiciary.
Llalla suspends prosecutor and judiciary police officer
A few minutes after the broadcast, the Prosecutor General suspended the leader of the Puke Prosecutor, Pellumb Prenci, and the judiciary official who were directly filmed by Fiks Fare’s cameras, Hasan Alia. The Supreme State Audit has also reacted, and asked for investigation that can discover if the Judge is also involved.
