For the Central Electoral Commission, the certification of the June 21st
local elections was simply a formality. With seven votes in favor, the
local elections have been certified by all CEC members.
The last meeting of CEC has no debates, while CEC decided that 46 parties must return the funds they received, and 15 others will receive more.
22 experts were chosen by lots to audit the funds spent by political parties.
After the meeting, the CEC chairwoman, Lefteri Luzi, said that thhey all contributed for an electoral process with higher standards.
