On the third day of the analyze of the judiciary system, high-rank
experts think that judges are not motivated to give justice due to low
salaries. For this they think that the government should have a special
budget for the judiciary, aside from the general state budget.
Euralius experts think that fees for citizens would not only consolidate this budget, but would make citizens think before addressing the court for any issue.
“Two main problems have derived from this: first, there are more administrative costs for the Constitutional Court, due to the requests of the past year, and secondly, there is a higher number of repeated unfounded requests. This comes due to the failure to implement the fees and constitutional taxes, which has artificially increased the number of cases just because there is no financial cost”, Cifligu declared.
Problems with the budget were seen even for the free legal asisstance, for which the government owes payments to lawyers. The Prosecution has also accumulated a debt of 90 million ALL to forensic experts and doctors.
