The persons who appeared on Top Channel’s investigative show “Fiks Fare” are charged with power abuse and illegal influence.
The investigations are being led by Prosecutor Ndini Tavani, while the Tirana Prosecution has seized the video footage from Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare”, which show a chain of people, from the judiciary secretary, the court chancellor, the judiciary police officer and lawyer, all discussing about the payment that would change an arrest measure.
The scandal broadcast by Fiks Fare shows a citizen who tells about his problem with five family members, who were arrested in a protest against a company. To change the arrest measure, a middle man was sent by the judge and prosecutor to discuss a price.
While they had paid 500.000 ALL for each of the arrested relatives, the request for money also came for the last one. The Prosecutor General, Adriatic Lalla, declared that they have suspended the Puke Prosecution leaders and a judiciary police officer. The Puke Prosecutor was replaced by Albert Murcaj. The High Council of Justice has immediately reacted, asking the Prosecution to investigate if there are judges involved.
