Judge Panel of defendant Ismailaj resigns

After defendant Kastriot Ismailaj made five requests to have the judge
panel against him to be replaced, now it is the judge panel that want to
leave the case to someone else.
Vjollca Spahiu, head of the Judge Panel, said that she and two other emmbers have resigned. Their argument was based on the frequent requests of the defendant, showing he has no trust on the judge panel.
If the President will accept their resignation, the new panel will start fhe process from scratch, which means that it will be delayed even further, as it has been done for the past ten months.
Most importantly, all evidence admitted so far by the Court, even the testimony of the former DIA lawyer, Romeo Karaj, and that of the former DIA executive, Elvis Mata, will be revaluated once again.
Defendant Ismailaj will now have the chance that few have, to oppose the admission of the evidence for the second time.
