Two months after the murder of Judge Skerdilajd Konomi, victim of a car
bomb, the relatives have sent an open letter to the media.
The letter underlines that no justice had been made for one of the most shocking murders in our country, and they also denounced the bargains that are being made with the family’s properties, which is one of the investigation leads as the motive of the crime.
“More than two months have passed since the murder, and the investigations have given no result. Each day that passes by, leaves us still farther from the truth, and we have received no hopes for justice up to now”, the letter says.
“In Albania are not respected even the Supreme Court’s decisions. The Institutions have not accepted our documents, recognized by the highest justice instances and we are facing more difficulties for taking the properties that we legally own”, the family adds.
The murder of Judge Konomi was also mentioned in the EU report that was published one week earlier. It considered as concerning the growing tendency of mafia-style murders in Albania.
None of such murders have been solved by law enforcement authorities.
