The one billion dollar investment plan in Albania, by Jared Kushner, son-in-law of billionaire and former American president Donald Trump, has put Albania in a new light in world tourism.
Tourist operators operating in the bay of Vlora comment that the news of the investment in Sazan Island on the coast of Vlora places Albanian tourism in the club of countries that benefit from elite tourism. The increase in employment, wages, the increase in the level of the economy will directly affect the ordinary citizens, whose property takes on a value tens of times greater than it is currently.
Jared Kushner confirmed that through his company “Affinity Partners” he plans to build in Albania on the island of Sazan a luxury eco-resort of the AMAN type, a place frequented by the world’s richest.
Meanwhile the other investment for 10,000 rooms on the beach of Zvrnec at the northern coast of Vlora, would increase the city’s tourism capacity several times. Currently, Sazan island is an area with great potential, but without any contribution to the economy, except for tourist visits to old military buildings that are almost in ruins.
