January 21st, the Supreme Court has not decided on the date yet

The trial case about the January 21st protests, when four people were
killed, has been postponed for the last two years and nothing is known
about it.

Despite the long time and delicate sensitivity, the Supreme Court has not decided about its trial.

Unofficial information say that the case against the former National Guard Comimander, Ndrea Prendi; his former Driver, Margarit Kume; the former Special Unit Commander, Agim Llupo; are under review by the judges decided since October 28th 2013. It means that they have been thinking for this time if they will review the recourse of the Prosecution or if they will reject it.

This file is on the hand of its relator, Edmond Islamaj, and members Guxim Zenelaj, Tom Ndrea, Artan Zeneli, Shkelzen Selimi. When asked by Top Channel why no date has been decided yet, the President of the Supreme Court, Ida Vjollca, answered by saying that there is no comment.

The Supreme Court President declared in February that the file will be tried within six months, but, apparently, the declaration has not been taken in consideration by the judge panel, which has the competences to decide about the dates.

The former National Guard Commander, Ndrea Prendi, was sentenced to one year in prison over manslaughter charges, for the killing of Faik Myrtaj. His dependent, Agim Llupo, was sentenced to three years for the same cause, for the killing of Ziver Veizi.

The Prosecution was unable to convince the court that the National Guard officials had killed them intentionally, since no motive was provided. For wounding seven others, the court said no bullets were found that had been shot from their weapons.

The Prosecution has not been able to found the killers of Hekuran Deda and Aleks Nika.
