On the sixth anniversary of January 21st, Prime Minister Edi Rama said
that justice for the four protesters who were killed by the National
Guard, is closest than ever.
“January21st is one of those moments in the history of a country which create a regret, which is never easy ot be freed of. But thanks to the Justice Reform, we are closer than ever into getting justice for January 21st. This option is more realistic today than before”, Rama said.
Speaking from the meeting with the victims’ relatives, organized at the Palace of Brigades, Rama said that this tragic event was the biggest motive that pushed him and the majority to vote for the Justice Reform.
Rama said that the government recognizes it de facto as a state crime, and promised there will be efforts to make a de jure recognition, which may allow a retrial
